Some G1 character advice for an artist alley table!

I'm working on some material for an artist alley table at an anime convention. (You basically get a table to sell handmade goods) I'm mostly going to have pony stuff. I'm making stickers, magnets, bookmarks, pins, and keychains (possibly cellphone charms/earrings/necklaces and the like depending on the upfront cost).

Since most people there will be bronies, of course, I'll be doing the mane 6, Pony, lyra, bon bon, trixie, big mac and dr. hooves, the CMC and Cheerilee.  I also want to make the G1 characters which inspired them, Firefly, Sparkler, Twilight, Suprise and Posey. But... I also wanted to toss in a few popular G1 characters just in case there are a few people who love older ponies. I was thinking of making my favorites like Gusty and Mimic, perhaps Masquerade, Glory, Moondancer, Medley?  Opinions? D;  I'm not sure entirely! What would your opinions be? I'm likely just going to put them on printable stickers or magnets for this convention though.

I thankfully am making a template to use for all these ponies so it won't kill me drawing them repeatedly!   Also, once done I might set up some adoptables here cause they are so freaking cute! :3

I think that the G1s you listed are excellent choices, and I also suggest two of my faves, Fizzy and Sundance.

Maybe a few TAFs? They'd probably be a pain...but they're so pretty.

The ponies you plan on are great picks!  I would say that Fizzy is also a good bet, and maybe Ember or Lickety Split if you plan on making some of the babies.

Gusty, Fizzy and Firefly for sure! I made some G1 merch before and those were the ones I've been asked for the most. Twilight, Moondancer and Medley were also popular - it might be an idea to have Lauren Faust's original "mane six" (Twilight, Firefly, Posey, Sparkler, AJ, Surprise)? I know a lot of bronies like Surprise because of the tumblr ask blog. Ooh, and Minty and Bow Tie!


ETA: I totally missed the part in your first post when you said about the ponies that inspired the FiM cast, I'm officially an idiot. >.<

I think you have hit the nail on the head by using the "original mane 6" - thats a perfect G1/G4 cross over for your market!

I also figured out what I'll be making. I'm going to get a lot of things made, and whatever is left over I'll be selling it online. But I'll also reorder too, if it's popular.

- Posters perhaps, I need to do a good illustration.

Stuff I'm making myself:
- Magnets
- Individual  Character Stickers
- Bookmarks
- Keychains (plastic with picture and pewter keychains that I sculpted)

The stuff I'm making will likely include the G1 characters, aside from maybe some buttons.

I also might try to make some plushies to sell, but it may or may not happen in time.
