I wouldn't call myself a fan, but I've watched every episode except the newest (finale). I absolutely hated Shane from the beginning and in every episode I was like "why don't they just kill him!? He's worse than the zombies!" xD Daryl is my fave.  :)
I haven't read the comics so I can't compare the show to anything.
