Just great superglue problem
« on: March 18, 2012, 01:55:59 PM »
Okay today I was trying to glue a piece of doll house furniture together and never noticed the super glue dropped on my favorite shirt.  Is this going to be a hopeless fix for me? Darn it. I am so mad. I love this shirt and now its ruined. Sniff.....

if your shirt is not a plastic material, dip the spot in some acetone. I have done that before.  Depending on how thick the spot is, it will either disapear after some rubbing, or at least get thinner.

You may try some goof off, as it's purpose is specifically to remove glue :)

I think the brand I use said something about using nail polish remover, but that might just be for skin... good luck. I know how much it sucks when a mishap ruins a favorite shirt. My dad once put my favorite sweater of mine in the dryer after barely 2 wears!

Some places that sell super glue also sell super glue remover. Maybe you could see if any craft stores near you sell that, or if it works on fabric?

I got mine at Lowe's but I think Walmart and Home Depot should have it also :) It is in an obnoxious looking yellow can haha.
