I plan on working through her hair first, pulling the strands apart one-by-one with my fingers (it's VERY matted), braiding it, and then giving her a good hand wash in the sink. If that doesn't work, I'll have to resort to the washing machine. I already knew about not using a clothes dryer, since my sister melted a teddy bear's fur once by doing that, but thanks for the warning. Once her body's as clean as I can get it, I'll go back to her hair and try some conditioner. I'm afraid the state her hair's in, it won't do much good though. I'm not very experienced at other methods of defrizzing and repairing hair, so I probably won't risk anything more intense than that.
I think I'll be happy just as long as I get her clean and I'll just let her next owner decide what they're willing to do to "fix" her. I know a lot of people here are very good at that type of thing. I did notice her eyes are already a bit scuffed. Poor girl.
