What are these? Id help!

Ok I found these at an antique store and took a photo bc they were so awesome/scary:

I think the face on the yellow one on the bottom is priceless. The seller had them labeled as "japanese dolls" Anyone ever seen them before?

Wow, they're...really terrifying, actually. I love how the one at the top seems to be ruling over them all though xD

LOL the one at the top is the reson I was glad they were securely locked in a glass case...

i'm not sure what these are actually called, but you'll find a bunch on places like etsy if you search for sad doll japan or japan freckles doll. i remember these as a kid in the '70s — they were pretty common. weird, but common.

They made them as early as the 60's as well and they are an imported doll of the day....over produced too.  Some of these were made in Hong Kong Anekona Hawaii. And these are just little Hawaiian children characters. They really have no name..they were some of the goofy stuff we had back in those days. I remember them in shops down by the ocean.  They were commonly sold in those types of places..
