so I got a Frankie from NoDivision with this adorable dress (made by NoD)
and what a better excuse than that to customize her a bit. So all the black has been removed from her hair, with pink put in its place. I totally LOVE her like this ♥

At midnight, I was out at Walmart picking up the latest sims 3 xpac and the MH shelves were all empty. I went to the guy who stocks the shelves and asked about it. He scratched his head in bewilderment because he said he just stocked it the night before. Anyway he asked an associate to scan the shelf tags and see if the 5000 piece truck had any on it. Yep they had 2 boxes somewhere in the back. He also said according to the computer that these were the last shipments planned for that store for a while. I didn't get to stay and get any, which was sad. I had rode up there with a friend and she couldn't sit around waiting. The guy said it could be hours before they found the boxes. I wanted to share this story though because of what they told me about the shipments. Are there no new waves coming soon? I heard Venus wasn't coming out til August.

The next cases are scheduled for May, at least as far as signature dolls are concerned. Rochelle and presumably Jackson will be in that one. Robecca and Venus are slated for August. No "official" word on the other new stuff, but I imagine it will begin to trickle out at roughly the same time.

I'd take the employee's word with a grain of salt. The tracking systems are really only a reference point, and the info in them can change frequently. If it's similar to most other retailers, it's showing zero in the DC, which usually means 1-2 weeks before stores will get it. However, if the DC gets it tonight, the info will be updated. Hope that helps!

OK guys, I have made some progress dying a MH doll's original hair!!

I got my Dead Tired Ghoulia today, and I couldn't wait to get started.  I first tried making up a somewhat strong solution of my Rit Dye - this is the liquid dye in the bottle, NOT the powdered.

I let her sit for half an hour in pretty hot water.  After rinsing, I could see a slight tint to her hair.  So, I made up a very strong solution in very hot water, and let her hair sit for another half an hour.  ...  Success!   The hair is tinted purple now!!   I am now letting just the tips of her hair sit in hopes of a gradient effect.   I actually didn't dye the hair closest to her head.   Two reasons:  One, I love the blue colors of Ghoulia's original hair.  Two, I was afraid of accidentally dying her head. 

Anyway, after another half an hour I will be checking her to see if I get the gradient effect I am after.  I'll post pics, though her hair will still be wet!

On a somewhat related note, would anyone be interested in Ghoulia's Dead Tired outfit & stand?   I love the glasses, but I doubt I will ever use them, and the red stand is not going to go with the custom I am making with her.   I have all her accessories, even the box if wanted!

These are not very good, it is night and there is no good light in my house.  I'll take more when I can get better light and her hair is dry.   But at least you can see that the hair did take the dye!  <3


I don't think that I got the gradient effect I hoped for, but I think I will like it.  I am eager to see what it looks like dry!

I just noticed tonight that the GB 5 pack at Target has a gray circle sticker on the shelf price tag. I asked an employee and apparently it means that they have been re-ordered. I hope so!! I need a GB Ghoulia!
