 WOW! I didn't expect to get so much praise, thank you all so much!

She could be for sale, if anyone is actually interested (I really didn't think anyone would be...)

But yeah, thank you all so much for the kind words!!

wow, looks awesome! Are the rainbow-y parts from the camera's flash, or actually painted on there, or is it the crayon/marker showing through? Either way, that rainbow effect looks really cool!  ^.^  like little galaxies far off.
amazing! keep doin' what you're doin'!

The colors are all painted on! I used mostly metallic craft paint I got from Wal Mart, and some Martha Stewart glitter paint.

she's awesome! i'm in the process of a g4 nebula custom inspired by a graduation cap i painted, but she's got different colors and hair than yours. :) nebulas are a pain to paint, but you did great! :) love the color choices.

I've been planning on venturing into the world of metallic paints; was it the same as using regular acryllics? Any advice on working with it?

Well, working with it on a small scale like this was really easy, it was just the same as regular acrylics. I'm working on a full body metallic repaint today though and it's a pain, i can already tell i'm going to have to do twice as many coats to get an even color. When you're covering large areas (at least with the paints i'm using) it tends to dry streaky. I've been painting and sanding all morning and it's finally starting to look like a solid color.
