My first dabble in Nirvana Territory-advice!

Alright, all... I've tried desperately to stay off of this particular board, because I know whenever I see all of the Nirvanas, I'll want them.  I've kept myself off for quite sometime, but over the past couple of weeks, I keep visiting this section of the arena quite a bit... and I just can't take it anymore.  I need a Nirvana!
So what I'd like to know from you guys is - what pony should I try to get first? 
Here are my personal preferences and price points:
1.  I can't spend $100+ on a pony...I just (personally) can't justify it.  I really, really want to...I just can't at this time.  Maybe one day   I'm looking for a lower-price Nirvana...whatever that may entail.
2.  I don't really care what country (at this point) the Nirvana is from...
3.  I am loving the bold colors I see on many of these Nirvanas.  I'd love a pony that is obviously different than the standard U.S. release (ie, different body or hair color, etc.).  In other words, if it really looks like it could be the U.S. release (even though it's not), I'd probably not by it...at this juncture, hehe.
Anyway - I'd LOVE to hear what you guys think should be my first true Nirvana.  Let me know your thoughts and about how much you think that pony would run!

Check out the Argies, they're some of the most colorful and most aren't all too expensive (minus the rare ones of course) Italians can be pretty cheap, but are usually very similar to the regular versions (and if they're not, they get very pricy).

Have a good browse in the nirvana gallery : )  See which pony jumps out at you... I would agree with Glacia, the Argie ponies are very bright and different from their regular counterparts and you could probably get a nice one within your budget, good luck on your search  x

Do you have a prefered pony?  You can start with a variant of it =)  (Just don't decide to collect all the variants, it will be difficult with some ).

Once the nirvana bug bites, nothing will ever be the same

Thanks, guys.  I've definitely been being drawn to the Argies...  Sheesh, I'd take any of them!  I guess I better start my pricing.  That will probably be the deciding factor, heh.  I can feel the Nirvana mayhem setting in...

I'm guessing my chance at an Argie Whizzer or Argie Sweet Tooth is not too hot? LoL

Argie Sweet Tooth is very popular, so I'm not sure you'd be able to find her for under $100. I'm not sure about Whizzer though I suggest hunting down a post by Relcelestia and checking out her signature She's got price ranges for a ton of Argies in her photobucket and it's super useful.

You could always try an Italy variant with different coloured hair, like Parasol. (http://mylittlewiki.org/wiki/File:Italian_Parasol_-_Year_3.jpg)
Could definitely get her for under $100, such a pretty gal. I'd say just take a look around the gallery for a while and post what you like. Then maybe some of us could give you some prices.

Alt. Parasol is pretty cheap I can usually find her for $15 or less.

She is cheap, but she is also so pretty! Definitely a noticeable difference from her US counterpart, but not gonna cost you as much as something like her Argie version.

the babies, DnPs, and the rock ponies are the cheapest (other than the original 6 CPs)
and yes sweet tooth is not cheap! she was my grail for a while *points to avatar* and it took some time to find her. although at the time i did find her, 2 others popped up for sale like a couple weeks later.. so strange. you just never know with argies

I started with Italians and Mexicans; they are cheap and while they may not look a bunch different from the HKs and China's they have their distinct differences that you learn to love about them.

  I have to say, though while I stayed out of Nirvana's for years, when I fell off the wagon my Nirvana collection extended rather quickly. Be warned! Nirvana's are addictive!!

My head is spinning.  There are just sooo many to drool over.  Your gallery is GORGEOUS, rel.  Everytime I go down the page it's like, "Oooh!  That's one I want!  Oh wait...that one!  Oh...that one!"  I started writing down a list, and when I got to the bottom of your page I'm like - crap!  That's about as long as your collection lol.  A couple of my favorite Argies seem to be the white Lickity Split (probably one of my absolute favorites on your page!), the two Surprises, yellow North Star, orange Whizzer, white SugarBerry, and TAF Sweet Tooth...sigh.  Hehe..they're all so pretty.  I gotta start somewhere though.  The alt. Parasol is cute for sure, too!  So many countries - so many ponies - so little, well, money, lol.  I was showing my husband all the variations (which, of course, blew his mind).  He's like, "Well, if you keep your job, just start trying to get one a month."  (I'm a teacher currently taking over for a teacher who went on a 1 year leave of absence.  If she comes back, I'm back to subbing...if she decides to retire, then I've got the job.  It sucks cause it's so nerve-wracking waiting on some else's decision!)...plus, with ponies in the equation, it's even MORE nerve-wracking, lol
