Blue eyed Moondancer?

I just got my 4th or 5th Moondancer this week and noticed that she has dark blue eyes rather than purple, and she's lacking blush. The blue seems too dark to just be faded and she's otherwise exactly the same as my other Moondancer I had access to at the moment, hoof stamps and all (83, Hasbro, Pat Pend, Hong Kong). Any ideas?

I Googled "MLP Moondancer blue eyes", and all I found was an old MLPTP thread from 2005 where someone else apparently found one with blue eyes, but no one seemed to have any info on it. I guess I'm just wondering how common or not this is.

Hmm, I haven't seen her before. Very pretty! I'll have to see if any of my Moondancers have blue eyes...

They are...it was such a random thing too! I got her a few days ago with a few other G1s that were about the same age (Firefly, Skyflier, Blossom) and they're all normal, but while I was cleaning them, I just thought "did she always have blue eyes?" I didn't bother to dig out my others until today though. If anyone else finds they have one like this, I'd be curious to know! It seems like something that could easily be overlooked.

I can't decide if I like the blue or not. I like the contrast with the rest of her pink and purple color combination, unlike the purple eyes which to me kind of just blend in, but at the same time, I find blue eyes on ponies kind of boring! I'll certainly be keeping her though. I don't generally search out variants, but if I end up with one, I always keep it.

Ya know, I have two versions of Majesty back home, one with blue eyes and one with purple.  I'd always wondered if that was a known variation.  Or is one the MO version, or something?

The blue eyed i think is a variation or a kind of factory error.

I think the blue eyed was the MO version? I remember much debate on this waaay back and this was what came to the conclusion.
