Better Pics of Princess Cadence and Shining Armour!

Meh, to me she just looks like an even pinkier version of Princess Celestia...

You and me both. It also got me wondering hard- I commonly see people diss the Talking Princess Celestia- so why are they drooling over the Talking Princess Cadence?

I think people don't like talking Celestia because she's pink, she says the most stupidest things, and some people don't like her fabric wings. I don't think she's THAT bad, but I think the phrases she says are really funny

Eh, I always found pegacorns to be a bit Mary-Su-ish, especially with the princesses' tall, elegant designs...best of everything super-magical! But I'm fine with it for Luna and Celestia since they're apparently ancient super-powerful beings, and the only ones like that. Adding another character in that style...eh, it's going to take a really good explanation for me to be satisfied, although admittedly, it's not impossible.

From a strictly toy perspective, I like the wings a lot, but to me she just looks like an alternate version of Celestia with a yellow streak in her hair and more finished-looking armor/boots (ironically, I just painted my talking Celestia's boots the same color, which makes her look even more similar). So many options, and they went with such a similar color combination. I don't think she's bad looking, just boring. I would have liked more variety. But if this means they'll produce a white Celestia, then I won't complain about Cadence. I'm also not excited about yet another release of the mane 6 and CMC, but meh, I've given up expecting anything else.

I'm also very curious to find out who she is. I kind of liked Celestia and Luna being the only two unipegs, since they're essentially the god-queens of the ponies and it made them stand out as clearly special, powerful mythological figures. Don't want it to become a commonplace thing...

Yay! She's a recycled Celestia body with WAY better wings! Ie, what the original Pinklestia should have looked like. I may pick her up and use an extra one for customizing into a Luna

Yeah! There is too much invested in this element of the line for them not to plug wedding toys obsessively in the cartoon!

I can't help but wonder why on earth Hasbro released styling Celestia as pink, only to make an ACTUAL pink alicorn character later....in the same exact mold.  I'd much rather have one be pink and one be white!  The styling Celestia and the styling Cadence look a bit too similar.

That being said, this styling Cadence has some big improvements over the Celestia version, like actual gold boots and accessories.  Wow, that just looks fantastic!  And I really prefer her wings over the blue fabric that Celestia has.  These purple ones look a lot less "cheap" to me. 

I don't mind her color scheme, though I wish Hasbro would get a bit more creative.  Princess Cadence seems to have the exact same color scheme as G4 Cupcake.  G4 Sweetie Swirl has the same color scheme as G4 Ploomette.  It's getting pretty boring...
