I've finally started.  I want to sculpt with sculpy, so if I can find enough time, it should work (tested baking my fakie today, and held up fine).  We'll see how my first custom works out.  I've decided to go with sculpted hair since I have no hair to use either way.  Although... I think she'd be lovely with dolly hair.  If I can find time to go somewhere and find some, that would be great!  Otherwise, sculpey it is.  :)

I should have rehaired before I started my repose but I didn't want to add hair if the thing was going to melt. Not I am not sure what to do. I suppose I could sculpt it. *thinks*

This is a fun and inspiring contest...you should not feel afraid or intimidated what so ever. All of you have mad skills in spades and will create the utmost beautiful customs you can.

There is no right or wrong, better or worse there is just simply beautiful customs made by beautiful artists.

Just take a breath and go with it...heck don't even think of it as a contest think of it as a challenge to over come and give it all you got!

Sorry no pics but i just started a body repaint...i almost lost all inspiration but the areana proves again that it provides great community:) it is so far blue using a mix of blue glitter paint...hair well i will keep that idea for the wip or finifhing pic. I am intimidated because i am still new to the custome world..i have only completed one custome and i havent even shared it....and many of you are artist of the month!!!! I am still super excited and going for it but still scary

I can post my early pics.  I cut out large sections of the pony so I could fold it in on itself and make it more slender.  Also only kept maybe 50% of the facial plastic. It is the most drastic redesign I've ever done. Cheeks are too bulky... needs more sanding. Everything legs down in the original pony with a large hunk of the belly and back removed.  The eyes and snout are original pony as well as the ears and the back of the head.

But I love this picture! She looks like an aging show girl or drag queen, which is awesome!!!! Actually, because she's yellow, she really is giving off a Patty/Selma Simpsons vibe. Which I think is wicked! I can't wait to see how your whole thing comes out! so far- Awesome!!!
