How mah-velous!  Another meet, in a different season, in a different location which makes it easier for Michigan ponies to come... AND still within a reasonable drive time from my home?

Heehee!  You KNOW I will do my bestest to come.  Once you have things locked down date-wise, I can get a better idea on my chances of attendance.  No promises one way or the other right now, but I wants to come!  Yays!

I would really love to come. It will be 3 1/2 hours for my husband (if I can talk him into it) and I. We've gone that far before though. What about kids? We have an 19 month old.

Sounds like fun!  It has been sad lately with fewer meets around, so 2 in Ohio sounds great!  We will just be sure to spread them out little with some time between for everyone to save up money! 

Is the 28th the set date then?  I will have to get off work that day so I need plenty of notice.  Also how far of a drive is it for you all when you drive down to our meet?  So I can plan travel.  thanks

Sadly, I've already committed to go to the MD meet that is planned for the same day. Otherwise I'd be there! I love going to pony meets that are nearby.

That's cool you're in Kettering - I'm from Springboro, and my dad's a Kettering cop (a good one, I swear!!). It's always nice seeing pony people who are so close!!

On topic - please let me know if there's anything I can do to be of help. I'm pretty far away but I told myself I wanted to become more involved in the pony community this year, so....

Haha, ohio is really good at having meets right after my big cons Last year the regular meet was right afer SDCC, and this one is a couple of weeks after C2E2! Translation: I will be broke! But We'll see.

Okay, I will call the place tomorrow to see if that date is open so I can nail down this date. I will be starting a forum soon and it will be on page one. I'll post when it's ready. 

Someone asked about children! Children are very welcome, however you MUST keep a good eye on them, which I'm sure all parents do. I say this because the venue we are looking at is right next to the Maumee River, which is deep and wide and has a fast current.

I don't want to pressure you or anything, but the Ohio Pony Meet may be a great little con for you to go to. There aren't a ton of people there, and we all pretty much know each other so it's really chill! Plus it's not neeaarrly as claustrophobia-inducing as some of the big cons

I agree with the above. I'm pretty shy myself in crowds of strangers, but I can start to relax given a little bit of time. And we won't pressure anyone into doing something they don't feel like doing. You can just sit back and watch and buy and trade and sell. Whatever makes you feel the most comfortable.
