Personal Interview-

Where did you get your user name? MLP's are for me! (My favorite toy as a kid and as an adult! Spoiled only child, me me me thoughts going on there...)

How old are you? Old, older than the hills... Old enough to know the #1 single the week I was born was "Missing You" by John Waite. It's actually a good song even though it's not one by Queen...

Do you go to school or work? Work, lots of work.

What are your hobbies? Besides ponies? Gardening, walking the dog, watching movies (which is quite a collection as we have no internet or cable), saving the world...

Do you have any pets? Greyhound named Maddy Mindy Meyer, 7 years old, little at 53 lbs!

What do you like/dislike about yourself? Confidence is not my strong suit. I like my hair I guess; I'm not much of a like my self image kind of person.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? Italy or Germany.

Do you collect anything other than ponies? Rainbow Brite, Smurfette, Care Bears, Teddy Ruxpin, fluffy stuffed critters...

Ponies-

How long have you been collecting ponies? since 1987

Why did you start collecting ponies? They were all the rage when I was growing up...

Who is your favorite pony and why? Barnacle, just love his color combo and I guess I have a thing for pirates?

Who is your least favorite pony and why? Pinkie Pie. 'nuff said. If you can't say anything nice...

Who is your favorite pony from another country? Nachtlicht

Who is your favorite fakie?Rinse n spit

Who was your first pony? Happy Tails Tabby - picked her out at Shopko...

What pony did you get recently? Brazil - Estrelinha - Blue Belle. Army pony, so very excited for her. One of the two new ponies I've gotten this year.

What is your favorite generation? G1's

What is your favorite part about collecting? The variety for sure, you honestly can't have it all, but there's so much to choose from...

How big is your collection? I'm missing a handful of G1 mail orders. I have about 30 G3's. There are a lot, they have their own room, lol.

What do your friends and family think about your collection? Mixed reviews at times, but overall my family is supportive.

Do you still play with your ponies? Grooming, lots of grooming if that counts as playing.

What rare or popular pony makes you ask why!? I'm out of the loop, what's popular now? LOL.

If you had to have a pony symbol tattooed on your butt, which would you pick and why? Night Gliders for sure. I love her celestial theme and really like stars.

If you could have any pony remade in a different generation, who would you choose and why? Barnacle as a G3 for sure.

What has been the worst part about collecting? The small nuances from one pony to the next, that little difference that makes you want to keep it, so you end up with a zillion of the same pony... Like cotton candy in 10 different shades of pink because you can't tell which one might be that elusive mail order. Rambling rant ended.

What is your ultimate collecting goal? A full US collection (not counting petites, but if it did that'd be great too).

What is your biggest collecting accomplishment? All three soft sleepy newborns staring at me from the shelf...

What is your biggest collecting regret? Honestly not buying more local ponies MOC when they were available a few years ago.

Who is your grail pony and why?Rapunzel, and Hushabye's bonnet... oh that bonnet how I pine for thee...

Do you have it? Alas I do not. I did make a custom of good 'ol Punzie to hold her place in the meantime.

Do you prefer loose or MIP ponies? Loose are the most of my collection. Though I do like MIP.

Quick! Close your eyes and grab a pony! Who did you get? Great Hair Ringlets, so much going on with that 'do.

Are you a customizer? Yes, oh yes. Been on hiatus for about 18 months though...
Would you ever be?

What do you think of custom ponies? Love them.

What are acceptable and unacceptable pony flaws, in your opinion? All flaws are acceptable, I am not a picky collector and I do restore.

Would you rather have a bait pony or a fakie? Bait

Do you watch pony shows/movies? Sometimes the G1 first season and MLP Tales.
Which ones?

Do you read pony comics? Alas, no, but I do have a few G1 books that I enjoy taking out from time to time.
Which ones?

What is the worst thing you've ever done to a pony? Please don't ask me this. I've done unspeakable things to ponies as customs and also for science!

And I don't like Pinkie Pie/Pinky Pie for two reasons: too much pink, & too many of them in both G3 & G4!!! Other factors come into play bot toywise that's the main two

Shopko! Are there any left?

Alas, Shopko closed doors about 5 years ago now. So many big box retailers have fallen victim to online retailers. A WI originated company, so it was very difficult to see it go. Select optical locations remain open, but it's just not the same.

Aw, that's too bad I remember going there a lot as a kid. There and Piggly Wiggly and Sentry. Those were like the main stores.

The good 'ol Piggy Wiggly, another WI company... It's always fun seeing the little VW piggy driving around.
