Apologies if there has already been a discussion about this playset, but I just noticed it. Does anyone else have it and what do they think? I didn't keep up with the films, can anyone tell me how it fits into the film and storyline please? I have to say I like the detail on it and think some aspects are really pretty. Do you put water actually inside it?!

In the movie the main 6 go to find the hippogriffs. When they get there the hippogriff city is abandoned. They fall into a under water cavern but they are saved by a sea pony princess and turned into sea ponies as well.

Hmm nice. Ah, so the G4 water ponies are not actually sea ponies as such. They are half pony, half bird? Nice to hear, thank you.I might see if I can pick up a second hand one.

The G4 seaponies are kinda weird and inconsistent. At first, they just appeared in a book and were much more seahorse-like, like the seaponies we're used to, and they lived in "Aquastria." But the G4 movie retconned it, and instead the hippogriffs moved to "Seaquestria" and transformed into seaponies (which are now less seapony and more hippocampus) to hide from the villain.

You can put water in the one chamber and press a button to create bubbles, I believe. I have one I got new but am bad with displaying it. Pretty cute playset and fits well with the big castle from that year!

I had one but gave it to a friend for her son to play with when I downsized my G4 collection.  His favorite part?  The hammock because he can put a pony in it.

Yes you can put water into part of it and then there are little touch pads that turn on the lights and a "pearl" that you push to make bubbles in the water.

I might need this in my life. I don't really worry too much about the story permutations in G4 but it's nice to know a little background.
