I was in a waiting room passing the time today, getting tired of binging the archive of the webcomic I was on and decided to binge another old favorite, Kimono's Townhouse. It's been a while since the images have worked, so I normally use the Wayback machine to view it, but I visited the site anyway...

Alas! Poor KT. It's been years since the site updated, but it's still sad to see it go. I first encountered the comic when I was around 10, and it was one of my first forays into Geek Culture. It really laid the groundwork for my future as a DragonCon junkie and fan of miniatures.

For the less familiar, KT's homepage describes the comic as such:

Kimono’s Townhouse is a comic about two roommates who are polar opposites. One is a cultured neat–freak who enjoys art and classic literature. The other is a hyperactive geek who loves comics, action figures and sugar. They happen to be My Little Ponies.

It's a good healthy mix of character-based humor, pop culture, and G3 memories. Maybe you'd like to revisit the archived site too? Or just open up a discussion about it. I'd love to hear about others' experiences with the comic, as I was a pretty young fan when I first came across it.

Not to my knowledge. The last posted comic was an uneventful Shark Week gag.

I loved KT and Spoosh's Ponyville comic. Dava was so detailed with her minis and her many Minty and Kimono customs.

2006 to 2014, wow! I have seen this before but I didn't read it from the beginning. It's lovely to see the archive. Previously I did not know the difference between a nerd and a geek.

I saved all the images in a folder I literally call Kimonostownhouse. It was such a great webcomic!!! I think its human got busy with her paleantology or something. She's taken Kimono & Minty to see mammoth skeletons (literal mammoth skeletons I mean)

I loved Kimono’s Townhouse!! I hope wherever the author is, she’s happy and living her best life... and letting all her ponies out of their boxes occasionally!
