Factory error Cherry Blossom

Hi everyone!
I bought this pony a week ago, and she has arrived today I thought I'd share her with you all as she's so unique.

As you can see, her hoof heart is on the wrong foot (should be NDS).
Now I have her in hand, I compared her to my regular cherry blossom.
-she is much pinker
-her symbols are a softer pink
-her eyes are a brighter green
-her eyeliner and pupils are blue instead of black.

I know that the 2003 ponies can have the misplaced hearts but I have never heard of a 2006 pony having it. The only cherry blossom I could find with the wrong heart was one shown at Toy Fair in 2006.

I wanted to ask if this is a common error on later ponies? And if anyone knows of/owns any others with this?

If her hoof heart is in the same spot as her magnet then she's exactly as she's supposed to be. 

If she doesn't have the magnet, well, G3 are notorious for having their hoof heart on either side, regardless of NDS.

I would call these differences variations, NOT Factory Errors

Her heart is on the wrong side, her magnet is on the non display side but her heart is on the display side and normal cherry blossom has her heart on her magnet foot
She's like the early g3s where their heart could be on any side (minty, Sweetberry, wysteria and poses are examples), but she was made in 2006, which is what confuses me, as I didn't think they made any like that after the first lot of g3s

Yes, if the intention was to have the heart on the other side, where the magnet is, and other toys from the same release of this character are made correctly, then she is in fact a factory error. If lots of these incorrect ponies were made, she might then be considered a variant rather than an error, but I personally am unaware of such a group of ponies, so congrats from me on your find. Oddities are always so much fun!

I have a 2003 Fluttershy with no hoof heart, but I know she is an error as I bought her new myself, and she has never had the heart, it wasn't just scratched/acetoned off. I could have left her MIB and kept her value as an authentic factory error, but you have to really look to see her heart MIP anyway (so I never noticed until she was opened that she was even odd in the first place), and her value to me is purely sentimental, so I don't mind her error going unverified as far as the collecting community is concerned. I love her oddity, and that's all that matters!

Cool find!  I've heard of the hoof heart being left off completely, but being on the wrong side is a new one.  From her pose I'm guessing she is Balloon Flying Cherry Blossom.  All the pictures of her that I found on Google Image do indeed show her heart being on the NDS.

Have you checked to see if the "magnet" is actually magnetic?  The only other thing I could think of, in terms of her being something other than a factory error, was if she was part of the late-late G3 ponies where they had a hoof "cap", but no actual magnet.  G3s were sometimes sold in 'family sets' or offered as 'bonus ponies' with playsets or such . . . though I don't know if that was ever the case for Cherry Blossom.
