I have been really lucky in the nirvana department in my time of collecting. The best find was 3 Indian Ponies. I was so lucky! I have also found a lot of Italian hybrids and Alternate Birthflowers To be honest, it doesn't matter if it's a manky common G1 I find or a rare pony, I get that amazing OMG! feeling every time I find ponies in the wild

I love these stories- especially the random ones!

I was at a flea market one morning and there was a lady selling toys. We started chatting and she described a big pony that she had at home. I gave her my address and $20, and she said she'd mail it to me. About a week later, there was Pink Dreams, the Soft Sleepy Newborn! That was who I hoped it was, but you never know. My husband sort of chastised me, and I got to "neener neener" him.
There was a little note, too, that she realized afterwards that the pony was worth more, but felt she was meant to go to me. The whole thing was very sweet, and very unexpectedly awesome!

Great stories everyone!

The biggest part of my collection is based on pony luck I found many ponies on flea markets through the years, including some really rare ones. But the best find in my opinion was TAF Nightglider on a flea market for 3€, a pony that wasn't supposed to be available in Germany still wondering how she ended up there!
On another flea market some years ago I came across a whole table full of ponies and a Dream Beauty, I still remember how I was shaking when I spotted them I was so excited! They all went home with me of course

I think my best pony luck is from the Fair this year. Late on the last day, I finally made my way to the display room with all of the contest entries and display bits that the designers brought. I noticed a giant blank G3 as part of the display and realized she wore a price tag. She was for sale! So I bought her and carried her around for the rest of the Fair. So many people had been to that room, seen her, and no one realized she was for sale! I hadn't planned on buying anything that large at the Fair, so she ended up in my carry-on cross stitch bag on the plane ride home. There were a few looks from people at this 30+ year old woman walking around with a giant white pony head sticking out of a bright orange bag, but that was part of the fun!

Well, that and buying a Rapunzel from a lovely person on the Arena. The two of them currently hang out, with Punzie perched on Giant Blank Pony's back.

I've been very fortunate over the years and have had many lucky moments when it comes to ponies 


But my 3 'luckiest' moments were:

When my mother's friend worked at a daycare and showed me the ponies they had there, one of them being Mimic ! I traded an extra Pinkie Pie for the Mimic and now she sits on my shelf safe from all the horrors of being chewed on by kids 

Another lucky pony moment was when I stopped at a garage sale and picked up Cutesaurus, Edgar, Spunky, Creamsicle, and Kingsley for $3 each, what a deal !

And lastly, I bought a pony lot of craigslist for $15 and in that lot I received a Dainty Dahlia in near perfect condition with her barrette, ribbon, and comb; and also found a hidden Baby Leafy in the lot whoo ! 


I just love hearing all these stories about pony luck, makes me so excited to find some more lucky treasures out in the wild

One of my best pony lucks was totally random.I saw a listing for 8 g4 fashion styles, including Cadance and Shining Armor and the first rainbow dash and applejack.I ordered Shining and Cadance, but the price the guy told me was a little higher than what i calculated.I assumed it was because of shipping costs.So i open the box and...There was Aj and rainbow.The guy made an error because they were on the same position but not on the same photos as shining and cadance, and the higher price was because aj was complete.So i got one of the most sought after g4 totally at random.
