Hasbro doing away with Zapcodes?
« on: November 06, 2016, 08:10:11 AM »
I just realized something about the 2017 MLP merch: none of the toys have Zapcodes. Since we now know the Minis are an Equestria Girls reboot none of them have Zapcodes and the 2017 brushables have no Zapcodes on them either. I guess this is the end for the MLP apps. Oh well, they weren't really that engaging anyways. The pony one was too boring and the Equestria Girl one was just a money sucking scheme.

Do you have a link to where you found the coming years pony merch? I can't seem to find anything.

Although I didn't play the game, I'm sure it was the reason more non-mane 6 brushables were being released for more ponies to be in it...oh well.

I can't say I would be sad for zapcodes to disappear. They bother me and I prefer to remove them.

I didn't think anyone knew for sure that the dolls were going away? I thought at this point it was just something some fans suspected. Not that it isn't a logical thing to suspect....

I don't think anything has been officially announced.  In fact I suspect it's not the kind of thing that they would announce.  What company wants to bring attention to a failed line?  We will know for sure when the New York Toy Fair roles around.  Either they will show off any new EG dolls or they won't.

Fine by me, I was never a fan of them to begin with.. I never got why they had to put them in such an intrusive spot -_- (I know, they're easy to remove with acetone, but it sucks for people like me who don't like altering their ponies unless they absolutely have to, lol)

I am totally ok with that, I did not like them when they first came out!
