Are ebay Funko prices accurate??
« on: September 20, 2016, 02:31:02 PM »
I'm gearing up to have a pretty big garage sale in a couple of weeks, and we plan on advertising it as collectables/antiques(we have tons of random collectables, not just the ponies haha!), too.  I was trying to price some of my Funko ones, and some of the prices on ebay completed auctions seem really high, going by there, I should be asking $50 for Princess Twilight Sparkle, $25 for both Big Mac and Applejack, and $20 for the mini Dr. Whooves, to name some of the highest!

I tried looking for them in the price check archives, but it isn't coming up with anything, so do those sound right?

I'm using the money to buy my parents' Christmas present(and hopefully get the two tomcats 'fixed'!), a bigger bed!

I have to admit that it seems like the ones on eBay are a little overpriced, and I don't think that a non-collector of MLP will be wanting to pay that much for something they found at a garage sale. I would suggest that if you want to sell them for that price it would be better of if you put them on eBay, instead of people overlooking your ponies that you have for sale because of the price.

I collect Funko items, mostly the mystery minis (other than MLP). :)

Try price checking them on the "pop price guide" website. (Can't post link but shoot me a PM and I'll send it to you).  You don't have to log in, you can search by name and find their value.  It's more reliable than ebay, and what most Funko collectors go by.

Hope this helps!

I found it with google, thanks! O.o that is saying even *higher* for the mini Dr hooves, wow! I was takong either the lowest ebay price, or a middle price if lots had been sold.

I will probably have them out at the yard sale, but list them online if they don't sell.  we are advertising it as lots of collectibles, and I'm putting it on a brony site or two, also.

Thanks for the help, both of you. :)

I'm not currently planning on selling my funkos, but I tried your website and it's very helpful!! Compared to eBay, this place is much more realistic when it comes to prices.

I second the suggestion of Pop Price Guide. I collect a few various Funko lines and I used the site to sell some of my pricier items a few months ago. The prices must've been correct because they all sold immediately. Good luck!
