I would have to agree with the taco dip and chips, always a favorite.  A cheese, sausage, and cracker plate is always good.  Can never go wrong with a veggie tray as someone mentioned.  You could also do a bid your own sub sandwich.  Of course, that could get to be expensive.  Good luck with whatever you decide.

One more suggestion, a potluck where you provide a main dish like pulled pork sandwiches and everyone else brings sides.
ISO Greek babies  ^.^

Mmmm, so many yummy suggestions! One thing from a vegetarian's point of view: Make sure how many vegetarians and vegans are going to be there, and then buy some more food for them than you would for the others. I.e. if a quarter of the people there are vegetarian, don't only make a quarter of the food vegetarian. Don't forget that non-vegetarians also like to eat veggie food, and you don't want to be in a situation when you have to tell people, "No, you can't eat that, or the others won't have enough left!"

I'm a big fan of vegetable sticks and tortilla chips with different dips. Easy to prepare (even if you make your own veggie sticks and dips) and so tasty. For a sweet treat, how about brownies and ice cream? Fresh fruit is lovely, too, but only if it's not warm where you live, or you'll have problems with flies.

Korozott
2pk cream cheese,
1 tub sour cream
mustard powder
onion powder or finely chopped onion
sweet Hungarian paprika
hot Hungarian paprika

let cream cheese sit at room temp until soft.
Mix cream cheese and 1/2-3/4 tub of sour cream until it is soft enough to scoup with a tortilla chip without breaking the chip.
add 1/2 tsp mustard powder
1/2 tsp onion powder or 1 tsp finely chopped onion
add 2 tsp SWEET hungarian paprika
1/4 tsp HOT Hungarian paprika.
Mix well.
It should taste tangy with a tiny bite to it. It should be a pale peach colour. You shouldn't be able to identify the mustard or onion over the paprika. If you taste more onion or mustard, add more paprika. Add sweet for tanginess and add hot for a little bite.
Most European type bakeries carry the paprika. but if not check

Spanish paprika can be substituted for the SWEET Hungarian but you get a more bitter taste then the tangy/sweet.
