Kirby: Planet Robobot!
« on: July 06, 2016, 09:11:33 PM »
It slipped under my radar that it's been released already! Has anyone played it yet? What do you think of it so far? I have such a backlog of games I need to play/buy, but it feels like forever since I played a Kirby game, and from what I saw when the game was first teased, it looks fun.

It ranks up there as one of my favorite Kirby games, and I've played almost all of them. I just recently finished the game and mini games, 96% (darn True Arena is kick in my butt) but it's super fun and worth getting!

My only gripe is that all the powers from the previous 3DS game (Triple Deluxe) aren't available. I really liked the beetle power and it's not in this game, but the additions of poision, ESP, and Dr. Kirby are cool.

Oh, and if you have any of the new Amiibos, the Meta Knight Kirby skin is adorable, plus you get his sword!

I also have to mention that the multiplayer mini game is really fun! You can play with three other people and they don't need a copy to play. My husband and I played it and it got repetitive but we enjoyed it. It's 4 Kirby's beating up various bosses and using different powers.

I don't think I've ever played a Kirby game before. Now I'm curious though.

I highly suggest any of the DS or 3DS Kirby titles. If you want a more laid back game with zero stress, then Kirby's Epic Yarn for the Wii is really great. If you want a game that utilizes the touch screen, Canvas Curse for the DS or Rainbow Curse Curse on the Wii U are fun.

Basically I recommend any Kirby game. They're really fun and can be challenging at times, but are, for the most part, not difficult at all.

That makes me excited to play! I'm pretty used to powers coming and going. I think my favourite is still the electric rock from Kirby 64 and I don't see that ever coming back.

Unfortunately, the Amiibo are useless for me right now because I lack a New 3DS/the Amiibo pad dealie. Playing as Meta Knight sounds awesome, I would probably opt for Waddle Dee though, I love them!

I'm with Rainbowrific Renia, it would be worth giving Kirby a try, it's such a cute and happy series.
