Package from UK still not here

Hi pony peeps,

So I purchased a pony from a wonderful member here and they shipped it from the UK. I've never had an issue with international before so I'm getting a little worried. I typed in the tracking again and it still hasn't changed. It says it arrived in Los Angeles on the 3rd, this month and another Los Angeles facility on the 8th. I live in San Diego, about a 2 hour drive away from Los Angeles. I've never had a package stay that long in a place so close to me. Has anyone else had experience with this? I hope they haven't done something to my precious pony.

What kind of tracking does it have on it?

UK tracking is stupid some of the time. There is a tracking method that tracks right up to your door, one that tracks until it enters the other country...and one that just obtains a signature on delivery. The last of these is very commonly used within the UK, but the other two are different options and I find the people in the post office don't always clarify which is which when you ask for tracking. (Tracking in the UK is not automatic, it has to be requested).

It might be that, if it is just recording key destinations, it's not being recorded in all the stages in between. That might mean it will still tell you on the site that it's in LA when you are holding the package in your hands.

Something I had with a parcel coming the other way, too, was that US depots sometimes get confused with where they are sending things, and then accidentally send to the wrong state or even country. Watching your package get tracked around the US and into Canada before it even leaves for the UK is an interesting experience.

But I suspect it is on its way but they are just not properly marking when it travels through smaller points. Or it went to the wrong one, and had to go back.


If it's that close, though, can you get a phone number and phone someone and ask about it? They might be able to give you a clearer clue of what is going on with your package and why it hasn't got to you yet.

I'm not sure which type of tracking it is. This is what the seller gave me: LB346963560GB

I know that tracking isn't always accurate but just find it weird that it's been or supposedly been in the same spot for so long.  I normally get packages from the UK in 2 weeks and the seller sent in the middle of February if I remember correctly, need to check my pm's.

Edit: just looked through my pm's and it's just about to hit the 2 week mark. I guess I'm just getting nervous since it was an expensive item lol.

Check the tracking on USPS.com. it shows movement today.

International mail tracks normally on USPS once it hits the States.

Mm, tracking on UK sites can be hit and miss, depending, again, as I said, on the tracking number. Unfortunately it's not possible to tell by the tracking number what type of tracking it is.  That's something that ought to have been mentioned at the post office when the item was sent (but they don't always).

I've had a few slow packages lately coming into the UK, too. It might just be a general slowdown for some reason.

Thank you banditpony. I just tried on USPS. Where do you see that it's moved? It just said that it's in transit and that's it, not where or a date.

If it is any comfort, whenever I have had a package delayed coming out of the US to me here, it is ALWAYS the international hub that is dragging it's feet. At least yours didn't go to Canada... It looks like it will be with you soon *fingers crossed!*

I'm glad that it's at least leaving LA now lol. That makes me feel so much better. I just had horrible thoughts of someone tampering with it or something since it hadn't moved in awhile. I will defiantly let you guys know when it's here. Something I've been wanting for a very long time
