Cracked Tail Hole

So, I'm fixing up a bait G1 Firefly and noticed her tail hole is cracked. I'm trying to replace her tail but the crack makes this very difficult. Has anyone encountered this problem before?

Yes! I have come across this a few times. I use a spot of superglue to fix the split and very carefully put the new tail in place. A tail ribbon will disguise the split if it is visible

Thanks, I will try it! I worked really hard repainting her symbols and cleaning her up. It would be a shame if I couldnt fix this.
