Best way to fix dry AG hair?
« on: February 22, 2016, 01:38:52 PM »
My daughter's bday is in a few weeks so I bought a used AG Caroline off ebay. The problem is that her hair is very dry and tangled. What's the best product for making it smooth and pretty again? I'm not a doll expert so any help would be appreciated.  :lookround:

I would look for a couple of youtube videos personally. :P After doing that I would prolly give her a complete salon treatment; wash and heavily condition her hair, brush it out thoroughly with a wide-toothed comb and let it air-dry.
As a last resort I might try using a hair straightener set on low, low heat. But, I would use Extreme caution doing this as I've burnt AG hair before; not nice.

  Good luck with her!

Armour All's Son of a Gun vinyl treatment spray... look for it in boat/auto stores.
Braid Spray - it's an ethnic hair treatment spray

I find that fabric softener makes the hair a bit greasier but it lasts for much longer than either of the other two products, I've found.  Not the best for dolls with long flowing hair - better for dolls with braids.
