local buyers(central California) always welcome!
« on: February 05, 2016, 09:19:41 AM »
If I don't get some money in the next couple days, I won't be able to pay a bill or two on time. Edit:  I have a job!!!  I should have my first paycheck early next week, so I no longer need to sell any more of my actual collection ponies, yay!  However, if anyone local still wants to come by to buy some 'shed ponies', just let me know!

I have 2/3 of a Paradise Estate, several other playsets, hundreds of G1s from bait to MOC(just one or two!)  I have tons I have yet to sort through.  I know I have the G3 25th anniversary sets(retro ones and the set of 7 G3), a few fair exclusives, the G4 school friends set, the TRU set with Nightmare Moon, and who knows what else.

Most of the G1s are flea market finds, so expect that kind of condition; played with, faded, a few marks on even the best ponies...

I dunno if you are part of the BONC meetup group, but I'm thinking of having a 'collectors only' day, like a mini meet or something? :)  I'm always thrilled to meet semi locals and chat ponies, haha!

I found your Craigslist ad. You're about an hour and a half from me! I might be interested, I like to buy ponies in person. It depends on what you've got. But out of curiosity, why aren't you selling them online?

Also do you know about Toy Safari in Alameda? They sell a lot of vintage toys and they might be interested in your collection. You may want to at least give them a call and see what they'd be willing to give you! I have never sold them anything so I don't know how they pay, but it's an option. Probably don't sell them the international ones, though. I suspect you could get more for those online.

In any case I hope your job situation improves soon!

*grins* I *will* be listing many of them online, but it's going to take a while to get them all photographed and described.  I just figured I'd give any local people the first shot at them, while I'm working on that, since in person means they'll see the flaws themselves. :)  I also have extra playsets that will be a pain to mail, so I'd rather sell those in person, too!

I should be posting the first batches online in a week or so, I've got about 1 1/2 big plastic totes of G1s left to sort before I can start cleaning them and taking pics.  I have 10+ of some ponies, all in different conditions with flaws, so I'm putting them all together by year/set, so I don't accidentally send the wrong one to someone; I'd hate to send someone a pony with a flaw they aren't expecting because I got two mixed up! I'm going to get a bunch of different colored hair ties or little claw clips, so they can be ID'd be that in group pictures, to make it easier to keep them all straight.

Nope, I don't think so...a couple sea wees,  a single shimmer, a few fairy tail birds, some trolls, but no little litters(so far!  I had a leak in my shed a few weeks ago so things got shuffled and shoved into the wrong boxes, plus I have never been the most organized person anyway. )There's about 30-40 G3s still in box but with the points cut off, so many plushies I'm using a chest freezer box for them, haha!  Most for he US released G4s loose, probably 40-50 blind bag ponies, and TONS of good to bait G1's, 10+ of each of the more common early ones like Blossom, Cotton Candy, Firefly, and Moondancer.  I used to buy big lots on eBay, too, if they were really cheap, even if I only needed a few ponies in it!  I always planned to clean up and sell the extras, only I never sold most of them, they've been sitting in my shed!  I'm planning on selling one of my Paradise Estates(I don't have the tiny stuff for either) but I'm trying to decide if I want to sell the more complete one or the less complete one, I know I have 2 extra Perfume puff play sets, an extra of the crimp n curl salon...and maybe I'll sell some of my collection ones too.

I've sold at the mlp fair each year I've gone, but even taking 2 suitcases each year they've still piled up.
