Wow that was clever that you thought of that!  The only form of identification my childhood ponies had was my initial under a hoof!

I did that as well (see my signature here on the Arena ), but that obviously was to make really, really sure that I can prove they are mine. I know I was very protective of my belongings as a child. I have an older sister and we didn't get along well as children; she always tried to get an advantage over me and took stuff from me, saying it was hers and adults usually believed her, because she was the older one. She did not like ponies though, so it wasn't to protect them against her. Probably the neighbour kids or some yet unknown possible pony threat, haha

haha   I remember my dad writing my initial on my ponies for that same reason- the neighbors had ponies too and he did not want them to get mixed up!
