Cleaning G4 ponies?

I was curious, I see a lot of tutorials for cleaning, sunfading, and washing G1 ponies, is it any different with G4 ponies?
I've found a few G4 ponies with pen marks and marker stains and can't seem to get them off by regular cleaning. Is it the same process of cleaning? I assume the plastic is different, so I don't want to ruin the pony.

Since its harder plastic, I assume it would be like cleaning other hard plastic toys.

You should be fine to use pretty much all the methods mentioned here for other generations

Ah, okay.
I have a white g4 pony who might need some sun fading. If anything I can always post results.
