island boy kevin- would love advice about buying
« on: December 24, 2015, 01:58:35 PM »
does anyone know anything about island boy kevin and how they compare to other dolls?
i have my bory, and thought they might be similar in size etc, but i'm not sure and don't really know where to look.

ok i did find out that he's about 10"
very dark skin, and discontinued. he's 100$
which is what i was going to put towards another msd.
he is really cute, but smaller than i was hoping to start collecting.
any advice?

I googled him and he's cute.  I have dolls of all sizes and they each have their advantages and disadvantages.  I do like the smaller ones, but I think your best bet is to save for a doll that you fall in love with.  If that doll is Kevin, then go for it!  If it's a different doll, then I'd suggest saving.  :)

I too would keep saving and buy a doll in the size category you were thinking of collecting. :)

that you both for the advice. i did put a small bid on him, but when i got outbid at the last minute i let it go.
i think the regret level is very low so no worries.

That's a good way to do it.  If you had felt instant regret, then I would say to go for him.  But if you think you'll be happier with a bigger doll, then that's what I would go for.

Yeah, that sounds like it probably worked out for the best, since you want a larger doll.

That said, I have an Island Doll Kevin, and he is cute, despite the smallness!  :)
