I just have to rant about eBay's search feature.
So I came across an auction for the blue Fluppy Dog, Brave Flup, on eBay. I checked out the auction pictures and he looked good, but I wanted to compare with other Fluppy auctions. So I searched for "Fluppy Dog" on all of eBay.
It showed me a bunch of listings, including some of the babies (Fluppy Puppies). I ended up clicking on a baby pup and BINing it.
Then I searched for "Fluppy Dog" again. Except this time it wasn't showing me that Brave Flup. (It HAD shown him to me in the previous search.) He was by far the cheapest Brave Flup, like $4 compared to $24 and up, so I wanted to BIN that one in particular.
Then I searched "blue Fluppy Dog". eBay showed me a bunch of auctions it hadn't shown me before even though, obviously, they all had "fluppy dog" in them. How am I supposed to pick the best option if eBay won't show me the goods?? And that Brave Flup still wasn't showing up in the search!
I finally found him by hitting my browser's back button again and again. He was still up for sale and everything. Here he is, with "blue Fluppy Dog" right in the auction title.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/281830493570?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITLike. eBay. Why. Were you not showing him to me because he was the cheapest and you'd get less fees out of the sale or . . . ?
So then, out of curiosity, I searched for "fluppy dog" again. Once again completely new auctions, including a BIN for the baby pup I'd bought--except this one was cheaper than the one I BINed. I would have bought that one in the first place if eBay had shown it to me!!
I'm glad I got two items I wanted, but I'm ticked off at whoever programmed eBay's search.
tl;dr Whether by design or incompetence, eBay's search fails to show items that fit the search parameters.
