Factory Black G1 Pony? Is this a thing? (Mystery Solved!)

So a while back I won a lot of bait ponies/customs somebody had given up on. In the lot was a black unicorn in a Powder pose. At the time I thought that it was one of the half finished customs that someone had done a very good job painting. It is missing it's mane and tail. I was looking at it tonight with the intention of fixing some small damage to it's horn and widening the holes for the mane so it can be rerooted and I realized it looks like it has factory eyes and blush over the "paint".

I tried removing the "paint" with pure acetone on the bottom of the hoof where it says '84 hasbro pat. pend. but it wouldn't come off. I tried on the neck plug an don the damaged horn, but it still won't come off. So then I'm thinking this is either some serious sealant that's been used, its an incredible fakie, or this some sort of amazing unicorn.

So I've dug out a Powder from my bait pony box and compared the two. Same pose, same size, same same eye color, even same makers marks.
Anyone have any idea what this pony could be? Is it real? Is it an incredible fakie forgery? The one thing I do know, this pony isn't painted!   
EDIT: Could it be dye or would dye have ruined the factory eyes?
EDIT 2: It's probably dyed! I am a silly person.

Could it be dyed? I've never dyed a pony, so I don't know the process of keeping factory eyes, but that'd be my guess.

I didn't even think of dye. Would dye go all the way through a pony's plastic? I put a small slice into the neck plug and its black all the way through. I've never dyed one. My instinct says that it would ruin the eyes and blush but I really have no idea.

Looks to me like she's been dyed with RIT dye.     She has that slightly splotchy look that dyed G1s have.

Dye does not "take" on the painted eyes, which is why her eyes are still white / purple.

You can dye ponies and keep the eyes white by putting Vaseline over them.  So, I agree.  Dye job!

Yup, black dye. She looks just like the two ponies I dyed black aaages ago - right down to the slightly off-green-black tone of the plastic.

I didn't cover the eyes of my dyejob ponies at all, and they just wiped clean once I removed them from the dye bath.

It possibly dye, I dyed a G1 Sprinkles black and it kept her blush and eye paint visible. So, its probably dye.

I'm no help on the dye thing, but just wanted to add that she looks good in black.

Hahaha, I halfway wonder if she's one I dyed years ago?  I still have the seashell and the sunnybunch, though seashell has turned *very* splotchy.  They were actually a deep purple, but the hair came out black, and the dye didn't stain they're eyes at all.

I appreciate everyone letting me know. My inexperience with ponies shows last night, I've never dyed a pony. I suppose my imagination went  little wild late at night too. Lol!

It could be possible, who knows. I did get the lot around a time I think I had been looking at some of yours. There was a bunch of oher stuff in the lot like a Baby Paws painted to look like Tex.
