Suspicious Seller on eBay selling G1 MOC ponies
« on: November 04, 2015, 03:55:14 PM »
After discussing this with the mods, I wanted to make a post to make everyone aware of a suspicious seller on eBay selling G1 MOC ponies.  As a backstory, in April 2013, I purchased a lot of MOC G1 ponies from a seller with 0 feedback from Iowa, USA.  After I won the auction, the seller wanted me to pay outside of eBay.  Long story short, the sale never happened and eBay was contacted.  The seller received similar feedback and soon after was no longer a registered user.  Here is the past thread on that seller if anyone is interested in reading:

Fast forward to Oct 2015, and I came across some of those same exact ponies on eBay again from another seller with 0 feedback from Iowa, USA.  There were multiple distinguishing factors and I know for sure they are the same ponies I won back in 2013.

The seller's ID is cass.ce9aio.

The situation just seems very suspicious and I want to warn other collectors because they have recently listed multiple auctions with MOC G1s, just as they did in 2013.  The seller has since received some positive feedback, but not for ponies.  While this is not a confirmed scammer, in my experience scammers will often build up a small amount of feedback first.  I'd hate for collectors to get scammed by this person if that is what they are out to do.  If anyone has any thoughts or experience with this person, feel free to share.

Thanks for sharing this experience here and I hope that no-one else is disappointed by trying to buy these only to find that the seller is dodgy .  :hug:
If anyone else has bought from this person this thread will be helpful to keep an eye on what the seller is up to now as well- and if they've changed - or if they are trying to scam.

Anytime someone asks to complete a transaction outside ebay- but ESPECIALLY when it involves
1) something that seems too good to be true;
2) someone with little or zero feedback and no ties to the community
