Question about Macau hair
« on: October 02, 2015, 10:34:43 AM »
Hello all! I was hoping you could help me with something, all you Macau lovers out there.
I just sold a Macau Minty with (what I thought was) excellent hair. The buyer feels the hair is dry, but I didn't think it was when I had her. In my experience, Macau pony hair (especially the white Minty's) feels different (kind of fluffy) in comparison to any other pony manufactured elsewhere. I feel awful because I honestly thought she was a stunning example...I didn't think her hair was frizzy or dry.
My question is, is their hair naturally different, as I've always thought, or is the pony's hair dry and I did something wrong? Here are a couple of photos of the pony:

I always found the texture a little different compared to regular HK ponies :)

I also find the hair feels different to HK hair. Sort of... fluffier. And then I scrolled back up and that was the exact word you used! It feels thicker as well. From the pictures above I don't think the mane looks dry, but I can't tell about the tail.

Their hair is different, a bit more coarse (if thats the right word) and voluminous. She looks in very good shape to me.
