Hair Color Match for G2 Berry Bright
« on: August 21, 2015, 07:37:44 AM »
I recently bought Berry Bright from a flea market, and her hair is absolutely catastrophic :( It's short and frizzy and very mohawk-y. I'm considering rehairing her, but I wonder what hair color would be a good match? From Dollyhair, I considered Yellow Fever or Napalm. Anybody got any ideas?

P.S. I really wanted to upload a picture of her, but since I'm a total newbie... v.v Would somebody please explain how to? Sorry if this is off topic  >_<

IIRC Berry Bright actually has two hair colors, a very light pink (like fading pink) and yellow.  They are mixed together and the yellow is dominant; the pink is hard to see.

Maybe someone with the pony in front of them can double check this, but I'm pretty sure that's what I remember.

It's white mixed in with the yellow I think (but maybe mine is faded?) but her bright coloring can make it look pink.  :)  No idea what the yellow color is though.

I've just got mine out to check. She has a dominant hair colour - yellow. And then she has white which looks a bit pinkish due to the reflection of her bright colour like Skeen said.

So yellow and white. But I don't know what the names of the colours are.

So would it be better to just leave her hair in and not re-hair? I don't think I'll be able to get yellow and white mixed together as a color. It's relatively short and the styling will probably take ages, though x_x

You could find a better condition Berry Bright though :) she is a common g2, and you can create a totally different pony with this one , with her Red/orange body , I think red and yellow hair will go very nice with it
I noticed that most orange ponies have Yellow hair , yellow and red , Glittery Study has yellow and Purple :)
so yellow still remains the best option for her hair color

I'm still hunting, of course :) But I'm not yet foraying into customizing ponies. And poor Berry Bright has captured my heart ♥ You really should see her, she's quite piteous xD I have a soft spot for damaged ponies because I think they deserve a loving home.

I guess I'll order Yellow Fever from Dollyhair once they've restocked on the other colors I want and just compare. If all else fails, I can use the hair to practice on a fakie, and if the color should match, I'll definitely report! :)

Thanks for all the answers, you lot have been super nice ^^

You don't upload them here. You have to put them on another site, like Photobucket. Then you need to get the URL for the image. This is normally done by right-clicking on the picture once it's uploaded, then choosing "Copy Image Location". Some sites have other ways you can do that as well.

Then, go to make your post. There's a lot of little buttons above the text box where you type what you want to say. You see that little button for adding images, right under the one for making text bold, but above the smiley face? It adds a little bit of code that looks like this:
Code: [Select]
[img][/img]
What you want is to put the URL for your picture between the two halves of the code, so it looks more like this:
Code: [Select]

If you do that, it shows up as whatever picture you put the URL for, so the example would give you this:

I hope that was helpful.
Cannot have anything scented in the house, unfortunately. Seeking the unscented, magnetless variant of Thistle Whistle. (And wishing the other Sunny Scent ponies got similar ones, because they're lovely. *sigh*)

And here's what she's had to go through so far.

Her tail looks okay now, but her mane still doesn't want to stay down.

I'll post again when I've found a solution, not earlier, I promise! xD

I do have two loose Berry Bright tails. Maybe you can do something with those? PM me if you want them ;)

If you're okay with her 'do, you could try flat ironing her mane (carefully, with a looot of conditioner in it). Personally I like being able to tell when a pony doesn't have her original hair, so I would probably just re-root her with a new solid yellow nuance (I have a frizzy Butterfly Hunter sans tinsel and full of rust waiting for that same treatment).
I'm looking to buy Port-o-Bella. Please email me.
