Which My Little Pony Tales characters got toys?

The later UK lines were good for some of the characters but also disappointing in who they missed...mainly the boys!

Would you have wanted them as Big Brothers, Baby Brothers or the Lucky pose? Or maybe a new pose made just for them?

Hmmm...good question. I think I would have liked them in the same style as the Tales girls...but slightly bigger moulds.

If we're gonna go with girl poses how about
Ace in the Sugarberry pose  (like he's chasing after a soccer ball)
Teddy in the Gingerbread pose  (like sunbright, berrytown etc.)
Lancer in the Bowtie pose (if memory recalls he was both pushover and gentleman)

The Sugarberry pose would be so perfect for Ace.

How about the Up, Up, and Away pose for Lancer?  It's still shy, but not quite as shy?

Sure, that works. Though I must confess I originally thought of the Magic Star pose for Lancer because of his name. Poor guy always trying to keep the peace. Lol

Tootsie pose would work too. Actaully I think there's a lot of poses that would suit him.

No other families? That's too bad.

The Berrytown, Sunbright and Meadowsweet Families all exist to some degree, but none of the parents or siblings of the central "7 characters". The Meadowsweets do not have Corny, but the baby (Daisy? - though she's only called Baby Meadowsweet in the release), the Berrytowns don't have Logan but his sister the baby was released and the Sunbrights...I don't remember the names of the characters but the baby released is the one with the fish.

Daddy Berrytown and Sunbright are very htf though and often cost a lot of money. The babies are not so bad. The mothers in between.

LM is right that Princess Sparkle is in a dream of Sweetheart's and Bridal Beauty is also in one of the comic stories, buying a veil from Sweetheart's shop, but that's not in the animation.

The Rockin' Beats weren't originally from MLP Tales but they got kept over to serve as Melody's band (which I'm a bit ambivalent about since Sweet Notes was meant to be the singer from the group and she gets sidelined). There is a lovely comic story about them with Tuneful's stagefright though.

And the GLowing Magic ponies all got wings, even Dazzleglow (they are "Glowing Magical" ponies and Patch encounters them, though nobody really believes her. Glowing Magic is the UK name for the set

The original seven also had a few gimmick releases - Starlight was released as a Hairdo Pony (which goes with the hair salon link in the anime), Sweetheart as a Nurse Pony and Melody as a Rollerskates Pony.

I also wish there had been a Teddy, Lancer and Ace! I like them as Big Brothers with the hooves, but in keeping with the style of the year I'd want them (if not as big brothers) in the Gingerbread pose. Sportstime already set the precedent
