*waves* hi I'm Liza, my pronouns are they/them and I'm shy so I'm just going to fill out the form-like thing from the sticky thread

How old are you? 35
 
Where do you live? State, Country? I live in Saskatchewan, Canada

Do you work or attend school? Profession or major? I don't do either of those things due to illness.

Who are the important people in your life? My dad, my husband, my close friends (particularly one of my best friends who introduced me to this site)

Ponies:

How long have you been collecting? a few months, properly.

Which generations of ponies do you collect? G1, G2, G3 or G4? g1 and g4!

What made you want to collect ponies? I started collecting G4 blindbags because I love the show and I think they're neat. I also scoop up other G4s when I can afford them or as gifts from friends. As for G1s,  I had quite the collection as a child which I gave to a younger relative when I was around 14 or so. But recently I've gone through some stuff that made me want to reconnect to my childhood and as my cousin is all grown up, she gave me my collection back (minus a few casualties to time and things, but plus some childhood friends of her own!).

Tell us about your collection!: My G4 collection is quite modest since I can't afford to spend TOO much on it, but I've got 23 G4 blindbags, 2 mystery mini figs, and one brushable g4 (Holly Dash, fwiw). My G1 collection is larger since I got a head start as a child; I've got 32 ponies from years 3-7 and I'm hoping I can get back the ones I'm missing from my childhood (especially my namesake!)  as well as the accessories for the ones I've got since my cousin couldn't find ANY of my old accessories. :C

(I wasn't sure how much detail to go into about my collection, feel free to ask about them; I love talking about my ponies! )

I actually can't narrow it down to a single favourite; I have a soft spot for whitecap, my sea pony, Gusty and baby Gusty, and so-soft Northstar.

Welcome to the Arena!! I love that you are starting your G1 collection with ponies from your childhood -- that's much like how I got started!   I love Gusty and SS Northstar! They were a couple of my top favorites as a child, and even now. Have fun and enjoy!
