Hello, I'm new!

Hi there! I've been collecting ponies for a while. I like G1 the most, because those were the ones I grew up with, but I have some G4s as well, because I really like the show a lot.

Interesting fact about me and pony collecting: I have bought most of my ponies in person! They were either ones I had as a kid, or were bought from Craigslist, conventions, or a vintage toy store in my area that still tends to get in a lot of G1s. I've never been out to have every G1, I'm very picky about which ones I like, since I don't want my pony collection to take up too much room. But I sure do like to look at other people's ponies too, which is part of why I'm joining!

I was at Everfree Northwest in Seattle last weekend walking around with a So Soft Wind Whistler, and I was stopped by a few G1 fans who wanted to talk about pony collecting. One even asked if I used this site! So if I met you there, hello! Hello everyone! I'm excited to talk about ponies.

And yes, my glasses really are purple.

I have purple glasses too!  They also have this crystal star thing happen on the side that reminds me of Twilight's symbol

How great to have been able to collect most of your ponies in person that way - thats something very few people have been able to do.

I buy my ponies in person too! Only a couple of G4s for Amazon, everything else is thrift and meet ups or store bought. I just prefer it. Enjoy the forums!

Hi Purpleglasses, and welcome! I loved reading your intro! I'm also a picky collector in condition and also type.. I do have a soft spot for purple ponies and unicorns..hehe..but one of my all-time favorites is Medley, who was my first pony ever!  I have gotten my ponies from various places; I can appreciate what you're doing! The one fun story I like to share is the latest time I visited a garage sale.. I ended up getting a Baby Surprise free .. with tail rust! Poor baby, she was the last one left in a box full of ponies apparently..no one wanted her, but she's a wonderful addition to my herd. Have tons of fun here!

Welcome to the Arena.  As to the glasses, if you are talking frames mine have been purple too, I go for the loud colors for work so I can find em if I make the mistake of putting em down.
