Hi Sweet Ponyfriends,

I open this topic to receive your comments and advices on the pics under.
I have received these 2 MOCs and how to tell you how I was disappointed when I took them out of the package

To my point of view and experience with MOC (I am a MOC collector) these items have been opened and reglued (and also piece of tape on the second one).
At the moment, I am in discussion with the seller (a MOC collector too, really nice I admit).
As soon as i received them I took pics and send them to the seller.
The seller told me she remarked nothing about that

In my opinion, there is no doubt that both of them have been opened and reglued/retaped. Even for a non-collector this should be obvious on examining the condition of the items (as is the seller's due diligence).

May I ask where you bought the items: ebay, the Arena ... ? And how did you pay for them: via paypal, bank transfer ... ?

They look definitely re-glued to me. So sorry you have to deal with that! I know how disappointing this must be.

I agree - opened and re-glued. The ponies (or at least Moonstone) don't seem to be moved/taken out/displayed (although its hard to be certain) but the plastic bubble has been open. It could be that it just came unstuck, and then someone (either your seller or the person they bought them from or whoever) decided to stick the bubble back down to make it back into an MOC pony. The glue looks very dodgy and it's yellowing. I am very surprised that your seller did not notice as it seems very obvious on both ponies - especially if your seller collects MOC

Did you get these from someone on the Arena, or from ebay or some other place?

If your seller has stopped communication that is also not good

I'm so sorry that this has happened to you, Bibinettepony. I agree with the others who've posted that it looks quite clear that the bubble came unsealed (either opened by someone or came loose/came off as bubbles sometimes do) and was glued back on.

I hope that the seller will make contact again and make things right by you - accept a return, issue a partial refund, or whatever solution the two of you work out. In any of these situations, I know that it won't make up for the disappointment that I'm sure you're feeling.

thanks all for your nice comments and for understanding my disappointement. You're adorable.

well I have contacted again the seller (who is ancient member here, the sale happened on Facebook and I have paid via Paypal BUT I send payment as a gift

as I understand the paypal fees and as we were between MOC collectors (and the seller knows some members here) I thought I can have confidence

)

I got an answer this afternoon: the seller is sad, which I can understand as I am also sad

and the seller is wondering how we can work on this?!?

So I have proposed 2 solutions: here is what I have written:

"I understand you, i am also sad, well I thought a lot about it , there are 2 solutions:
- you refund me and I send the 2 MOCs back
or - I keep them and you proceed to a partial refund on each of them.
please tell me if you have other ideas or suggestions, i am happy we can work something together "

I do hope I will received an answer and some ideas or comments.

Concerning Payment as a gift:

I do know the risks sadly I think I am too nice and trustworthy. I put so much sentimental value on MOCs and MLP Collecting , this is soo serious for me, that I am always thinking other collectors do the same.

Shame on me maybe this time

I hope it works out well for you sweetie . I'm glad that the seller replied and I think you are being very reasonable and amicable trying to work out a solution. It is a pity that you sent the money as a gift. I know you were being kind but it is very risky unless you know the person and you can trust them 100%.
If the seller is a long time member of the community and is a member here then hopefully things will be ok this time but I would not risk the gift payment again in future

so here are some news: after a loooong discussion, we agreed that I send back the 2 MOCs and the seller refund me. At first , the seller wanted to refund me when the seller will received the 2 MOCs

which I refuse , too risky to my opinion.

So after a few days I have finally received the full refund and I have sent the 2 "MOCs" back.

I am waiting from this seller now a last MOC, which was sent after. I keep fringers crossed this last one is ok
