Ugh... Firefox!

Is anyone else having issues with Firefox since the last update? Suddenly it's e-x-t-r-e-m-e-l-y slow, scrolling is nearly impossible, and even typing this message is a pain.

I already renewed Firefox, I updated some add-ons like Java and Flash Player, and I really don't know what else I can do (the things I mentioned were already scary enough as I know zero about this). Is anybody else experiencing this?

Sorry you are having issues mine is working good, but I do not always update when they ask me too.

Do you have IE on your computer so you can check and make sure it is not your computer that is having the issues?

Also maybe go to their page and see if they have a live chat or any help and have em check it.

Thanks for your reply! I do have IE, but it's a really old version that I haven't used in years because it hardly works anymore.  I did try though, and apart from the regular bugs it still works at a normal speed.

I went to the helpdesk, but all I got out of it is that I should try renewing Firefox, and that I should make sure my add-ons are up to date, but I already tried that (and I don't even have any add-ons apart from the required ones like Java and Adobe Flash and such).

I wish I could stop those updates too, but I only get notifications about it when it's already running.

Firefox is working fine for me. It does lag on flash games, but that's nothing new (I use Chrome for those anyway).

This might be a silly question, have you tried clearing your cache? It works for me when Firefox is being laggy, at least. Unless that's what you meant by renewing it, in which case, don't mind me

I tried firefox..twice.  Both times I wanted to throw my computer out the window.

I know people scoff at IE, and it does have its loopholes, but its better then anything ive tried...and that includes chrome.

Im not sure what I can suggest to help you out.  Might need to wait a few days and try again.

I can imagine, I'm currently using my old, broken IE as well, even with its bugs it's still better than Firefox at the moment!

Haha no, by renewing I meant what Firefox suggests at the helpdesk, when you do that you get a "fresh start" with factory settings. I tried deleting a whole bunch of stuff, including cookies and history, but it's still horrible. >__<

Firefox is causing that much problems?

Huh... guess that's probably the reason why my computer seems to freeze up just about every time that I come online and trying to do things like posting replies in forum threads, scroll up/down pages, etc. I thought it was just my computer being a pain in the you-know-where (after all it is 5 years old).

I have Firefox as my backup since I normally use Chrome, but I'm having no problems with FF right now.

I am doing ok with firefox right now, and I do use chrome as well.
