How do you like to buy your bait?

I hope this post is in the right place . . . Anyway, how do customizers usually like to buy the ponies they use as bases? Do you like to buy large lots of ponies at one time so you have lots of bodies to choose from for various projects? Or do you like to buy one pony at a time if you have a specific project in mind? (Or do you buy in some combination of these?)

buying in bulk can also save money. Plus, I like having a stockpile (many customizers have stockpiles of baits and hair lol)

but sometimes I need a specific pose that I might not have. depending on gen/pose this can be hard to find in bait condition. I do FBRs, so color doesn't matter to me, but for those who don't, that's an added challenge on finding the right bait sometimes.

Both. Ill buy lots once in a while online to stay stocked up, but when im out thrifting and i see bait ill buy it reguardless of gen and pose to add to my stockpile (my impulse buys is how i get most of my stock), and if i need specific poses ill cherrypick them for commissions... Or if a particular pose is popular ill make sure to get some more if im running low.

Same goes for hair really, ill buy it when im ready to place an order over $50 (free shipping then) usually ill get hanks of colors i dont have and focus on stocking up on colors i use often.

well, I was drunk one night and thought a lot of about 20 pinkie pies was a GOOD idea 

normally I ask on here, usually its a cheaper deal for G1's.

I pick them up individually. Usually whatever is cheap (and 99% of the time locally available). I've never bought a bunch at once. I'm also a slow customizer so I don't go through a lot of ponies in a short amount of time like others do. I work with what I have.
