How much would you pay for this Craigslist lot?

Well, she turned down my offer of $160 plus shipping (she was nice about it, though). She mentioned in her response that they go for more than my offer on other websites (probably meaning Ebay), which is kind of true; but I hope she knows the difference between, say, a lot with Mimic and Red Roses and Rapunzel in it and this lot. But oh well. You win some, you lose some. Thanks for your help, guys!

Don't get defeated so easily - a lot of times sellers will try to overprice then realize it shortly down the road. I've had people slash the price 75% less than the original asking. I have a hard time believing anyone would pay near that for those ponies.

I have to say I have duplicates of almost all of those ponies that I've tried to sell (not on ebay) over the last few years... What I am I doing wrong? 10 each? I have duplicates of Megan and Molly. I understand adding in a ribbon, but really all of them PC about $10 in perfect condition?

I meant if you factored out the value of the outliers as well.  I personally feel that there are a few of those ponies that would go for higher amounts, in turn lowering how much the rest of them would have to make up for the price difference.  If that makes sense.  I've been having trouble with words today, lol, sorry for any confusion (or if I'm still sounding confusing... it's hard when you know what you're trying to say, but can't get it out!)

I think you were smart. I've said it before and I'll say it again: if you're selling a lot, you shouldn't expect to get what you think the ponies would sell for individually (especially if it's in the high range), and if you're buying a lot, you shouldn't pay what they'd sell for individually unless you REALLY want that lot and you're going to keep the ponies. In your case, this was a lot for resale. I think you made her a very reasonable offer, and too bad she made the poor choice not to take it. IMO she will never get over $200 on eBay. I sold a similarly sized lot on eBay with ponies in the later G1 years, many quite minty, and I let "the market" go to town by setting the starting bid low. The lot got to $163, which I considered a good price. I was having no luck selling some of those ponies with factory curls, etc., for $9.99+. It just depends on who is looking.

These ponies *are* very pretty, but if you look at Sunbeam and Sparkler, it looks like they have some symbol problems, which seriously cuts down what you'd make on them. When Sunbeam is riding high on the market, she can make $20+ with perfect symbols, but with any symbol flaws at all she's a dime a dozen.

$300 is way too much. I have this lot of 60 on its way to me. I paid $300 for it. Thought this would be a good comparison. Made them $5 reach.

I thought $300 was a bit high, too. Individually, maybe, but on eBay with an "amateur" seller (who can't tell a bit of dirt from cancer, for example), people will bid more cautiously. What you see is what you get, and none of these ponies are HTF, as far as I know? I'd expect to see the auction top out at about $100-150, but I could be wrong.

$300 seems high to me also.  I would only pay about $3 each for common US ponies though.  If you don't already have those maybe $3-$5 each.  So $100 or a little higher maybe.   But I typically don't buy lots that are mostly the common ones so that is why I wouldn't pay much.  The Meghan and Molly are nice though!

$300 seems high to me, too.  Common g1s are often difficult to sell, even when in good condition.

I would have pegged the lot more at $150.  If she wants to sell them individually, that's another story.

WOW $300 is high for that lot!  Considering that I posted a much bigger lot of ponies on Kijiji for $260, and didn't even sell it...   

Considering how common the ponies are, I can't say I would offer more than $150 myself.
