Thanks!  I showed this thread to the friend who found her for me today and she was so excited to see everyone's replies.    It's lovely how everyone is so supportive even when it's not a particularly rare or expensive pony!
My friend and her 6 year old son came round my house and looked at my collection today and the little lad watched his first episode of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic... of course he really liked it!  :satisfied:

What a great job you did!  Terrible to think someone else would have probably just chucked her in her previous state... well done! Totally satisfying, right?
