HELP: Pony Cleaning?
« on: June 08, 2015, 03:47:59 AM »
I'm not sure whether this is the right place to post this, I'm still quite new here, but I need a bit of help.

My bf gave me a little Scootaloo figure last year after we got together, which is super special to him because she's been all over  the world. I used to keep her in my old black bag, but the black had rubbed off on her, and I don't know how to get the dirt out. :(

She has dark rubs on the tips of her wings, a little on her face above her left eye, dark rubs on her nose and the tips of her hooves.

Because she's quite special I'd love to know if there was anything I could use to clean the rubs off? Thanks!

You could try a magic eraser, if you haven't yet.

Try dish soap, if that doesn't work, Magic Eraser, though that looks like it might be dye transfer, in which case sunfading may be necessary.

Oh those have to be sunfaded out if she's been inside a purse.  Wrap her up in tin foil like a potato and leave only the parts you need to fade exposed.  Give it a week or two in sunny weather.  :)

I would second (or third or forth) the magic eraser suggestion. Unfortunately the ink on fabric can really get right into the pores in the plastic - if magic eraser does not beat it some sun fading will :)
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
