Roleplayers?

I know we have some here! I'm not really talking about tabletop roleplay but more of the text based roleplay stuff. I was curious if anyone had site suggestions for finding roleplay partners?

My issue is I've had the same roleplay partners for 12+ years, but we've sort of drifted and now I'm trying to find new ones. I haven't really had to look for any in a long time so of course this is weird for me!

I'm a member of the Roleplay Guild website and occasionally can find someone there, but I have trouble finding anyone long term.  Just a few things to give an idea of what I'm looking for (in case that helps with site recommendations), I usually roleplay advanced level I guess you would call it. My posts range from 1,000 words at shortest and up to about 5,000ish? I don't usually just sit and check, but I do write a lot. I typically do onexone stuff since I don't have time to keep up with a full blown roleplay with lots of people. I also stick with emails usually since I check them more than forums. I do chat a lot outside of OOC since I like to talk.

My biggest problem lately is finding people that want to roleplay and type more than a paragraph or two and while I don't mind some mature roleplaying (with people within the proper ages) some people get downright creepy...then I have to drop them. Totally won't say anymore about that, but you get the idea.

Anyone have any good suggestions of places to search for partners? If not that's fine just thought I would ask since I know we have rpers in some areas here.

Hmm, I'm not familiar with text-based ones, we just do table top.

I do text based RP on forums ^^ I also used to have friends I RP'd with but one drifted off and the other is just too busy. So eh xD I went back to forums, although I will say my posts are definitely nowhere near that long :0 My style of RP is much more casual. I usually keep them between 300-700 words.

I could never get into table top stuff. I get super bored with it. I just enjoy the text based since I write so much already.

Nomnom: what forum do you use? I've been trying to find some different forums to check out but most seem to discourage exchanging emails (which I get but I don't check forums often enough to roleplay on them a ton...like I started one and forgot to respond for three months. Whoops). Yeahhhh, I guess I write a lot in the ones I do. I tried doing shorter ones before with other people, but it didn't keep my attention so well.

I have done text based roleplays since I was twelve andi have no intention of stopping even though I am twenty-seven. I tend to be on the long winded side at times, though lately I have been rather shortish with my response, falling somewhere between three or two paragraphs. I have never counted how many words I type up on a good day, but I have a feeling that it isn't as long as yours.

I could suggest a forum to you, but it is more on the....mature side and I am pretty sure that isn't what you are looking for. I would suggest googling roleplaying sites and looking to see which is the best for you.

I do, I've done text based rping on and off for something nearing ten years now it seems. (eep) but can't really think of suggestions because everything I do at the moment is via tumblr and based around like one game (basically rping with some of my SWTOR characters)
Like I've been on various boards through the years, but they've pretty much all been 'themed' ones and none of them are active anymore, so urm I realise I'm not much help.
