It seems a little pricey, but if you are happy with your purchase then it shouldn't matter. You definitely want to clean your games and any new ones you would get with a water and rubbing alcohol mixture using a q-tip to dip in the solution, then dry it with a q-tip and finally let the games dry for at least an hour before playing. I'm not sure if they are still available or not, but they sold generic versions that had two in one game systems- for example GN twin has Sega and NES slots and an FCC Twin has NES and SNES slots- I love them. Unfortunately I discovered that the zapper gun doesn't work with flat screen tvs :( and the gun won't work with the dual systems either :( I had traded my NES in for a refurbished on in the early 2000's, but it stopped working soon after- the guy that worked there said it was because my games were dirty. I haven't had too much trouble with getting my system or games to work since then. I have always cleaned them since then and store my games in storage totes so they won't get dusty. You may want to look for an NES cleaning kit, too if you can find one. Have lots of fun!!! I love playing my NES games although I don't get them out as much as I'd like to.

Yeah I thought I spent too much as well.  I was looking online and I guess people think that because the NES is an old gaming console it's worth tons of money.  I read that it isn't worth that much, maybe $15 or $20 or less and up to $50 if you find a die-hard fan or something.  They made it seem like I got all that stuff free but I think it factors into the cost.  Honestly though, if you were to find one at a flea market or yard sale there's no guarantee that it works and if you find out it doesn't the seller may say too bad not my problem and you lose your money.  Same goes if you tried to find one on amazon or ebay.  Well, I think you're more protected in those cases.
