G1 lot - help identify please?
« on: January 13, 2015, 03:19:33 PM »
I have just been given a whole lot of my friend's childhood toys - G1 Ponies :)
But... I have no idea what are they, still don't know much about G1 :/
(all of them have hasbro stamp, dated 1982-1987 china or hong kong)

Could anybody tell me if there is something especially interesting here? Please? :)

Back white- bride pony
Back white with green heart on top- awesome fakie princess rinse and spit
Peachy (peach with pink hair), UK cookery pony (can't remember name!), Candy Cane Lemon Treats (yellow)
Magic Message Windy (tree symbol), purple baby looks like family baby, then a Rainbow baby, and behind her baby Apple Delight (white), Rocking Beat (neon pink)
Princess Primrose, Perfume Puff pegasus, little blue with pink hair Shaggy, cant see the other baby but looks like Sunribbon another Rainbow baby, Magic Message unicorn (pink), yellow Sparkle Napper, UK Gypsy unicorn and UK Fun Time?

I'm a little rusty on the names!

Great lot of ponies!  The UK ones weren't released everywhere and the rainbow babies seem to be a popular set.

Thank you!  :D
Living in UK makes it easier to get some of the UK/EU exclusives I guess.

And Princess Rinse and Spit? o.O What a name :D I think I heard something about her :P

Ooh... I like spot/id the pony type questions!

I would said have Applejack at the back there, not Peachy? (collector pose). Has she got apples on her rump, or hearts?

Lemon Treats is a rather enviable pony to have acquired! Congrats.

The cookery pony is Sweet Delight, I think. The Rockin' Beat is Sweet Notes. Cloud Dreamer is the Magic Message unicorn and the purply baby pony looks like Baby Bright Bouquet. The school time pony is Sportstime. Lavender Lace is the Perfume Puff pegasus.

The baby rainbow ponies are Starbow and Rainribbon.

 :)

I agree that might be CP Applejack. I don't think Peachy's hair breaks down to that shade of yellow. The body's also too orange to be Peachy. I'm also seeing dark eyes so definitely think that's AJ.

Yeah, that's Applejack. She's the only one I could actually recognize by myself ;)
Unfortunately she is possibly in the worst condition of them all. I think I might try to clean them, and eventually rehair or use as baits for customizing, as I doubt they will have any sensible value considering their condition. They were all purchased from car boot sales in early 90's, and my friend played with them A LOT, before they all ended up in the loft.

Oh, please reconsider using ALL of them as bait someday...several of those ponies are very sought after and you could easily sell them to buy common ponies to use as baits - no matter HOW bad they may seem, a lot of us would still be so happy to have them in our collections!

Agreed.  If you're not interested in keeping them, I would see if you're interested in selling or trading them. There's always someone willing to take g1s.  :)

I would be more than happy to swap those ponies with more baity ones!

There are some great ponies in there - in the right hands they could look fabulous.

I am definitely not going to 'waste' any of the sought-after ones. I'll try to clean them and most likely will bring them to UK PonyCon with me to gift/trade/donate to the charity auction.
