Oh boy I used to love these things! I hope they come back in the UK too. And I'm relieved to see that the toys still look as good, I always loved how detailed and nicely painted they were compared to Kinder Eggs and such, and the unusual species they had.
The fennec fox is really cute, I once got a fennec fox from one too :D I still have it on a shelf back home, actually, because a fennec fox toy isn't easy to find.

:bump: So my candy store in the mall says they will permanently sell these!!! I bought one... I wanted more but they were $4 each! The chocolate isn't the best, it tastes like the Palmer chocolate bunnies around Easter. Here is my Prize!

Completely forgot about this thread.. great to see them turning up.. :) The originals weren't solid animals but you actually had to put them together as they came in pieces... these look a little safer in that respect

Thanks for the offer Xeevee but I'm trying to declutter at the moment even the ponies might be on the chopping block so I'll pass for now :)

Being solid plastic has completely ruined it for me, I loved that you had to put them together. As a kid I would beg for one every time we went to the store because they were so much fun. The insides were tricky for a kid sometimes, because you had to position things perfectly if they were an animal that had posable limbs or action moves, but that was a fun challenge. You may as well just go buy a packet of plastic toys from a bargain store, but then you don't have that exciting chance of getting a rare crystal variant animal lol! Do they at least have their information sheet still? I loved to read those, they were educational fun.

They've lost their charm in my opinion.  :(

Me and my two brothers used to have a huge collection but most of them have gone missing, I still have a box of some of them (mostly dinosaurs lol)... but there is one toy I kept that I was always super proud of, I felt so lucky to open my yowie (after enjoying the best chocolate ever) and find my favourite character Rumble's portrait in a crystal! I'm keeping this forever.

Yup our local mall candy store sells them as well. My niece loves them.

The chocolate isn't too bad. I've had worse lol. It's not nearly as good as kinder, but it's enjoyable. And the little toys are super cute. I have an alpaca from one ;)

The website has a locator that says places near you that sell them. I just saw the World Market near me stocks them :3
