I need help...
« on: December 27, 2014, 12:59:11 AM »
Hi there,
I have sold 4 mlp baits on a pony facebook site to someone in USA.The buyer didn't want tracking. They were sent at the begin of december and haven't arrived yet(btw I have sent a package to Greek and Finnland at the same time and they made their way a few days ago).
Now the buyer said she will reporte to paypal that she hasn't received the items...and that's unfair.I have sent the ponies...and who can tell me that she really hasn't received them?I know paypal will give her the money back,so perhaps she will received the ponies and the money.
What would you do now?
You can be sure I will never ever sent anything without tracking!!!

You filled out a customs form, right?  Sometimes you can track the package by the number on that, maybe it will help!

Sorry you are dealing with this problem Buffy  :(   I think your buyer needs more patience. Is the buyer still willing to talk to you? Can you ask them to wait a bit longer?  the Paypal deadline is not yet is it?  to be honest international shipping is hit and miss at the best of times but it can be even slower at this time of year - especially with all the extra mail/parcels and the xmas holiday/days the PO is closed etc.  I think that there is a good chance the buyers parcel will arrive before the Paypal deadline.
In future though I would also recommend sending items with tracking  since if the person does open that case then they will get refunded. I've had to start doing this with all of my items now. Its expensive but its worth the extra protection :awake:

Thanks for the help.
Sorry,my Laptop dies and I just can be online with my mobile phone.
The person said, she will wait. The paypal deadline is 180(really???) so she will wait.
And no,no custom form(you don't need it on a bubbled letter;also there is no way to track a letter without sending with tracking number).
I will let you know when I have any news.

Yay, that's great news!
My biggest horror story was a piccolo that I shipped to another European Country, I think it was France or the Netherlands, can't remember right now. Well, it didn't arrive but the buyer didn't blame me, which was very nice.
In the end it showed up- over one YEAR later... the buyer contacted me about it and I was totally stunned as you can imagine :D

International post can be slow especially at this time of year! What I find is that it's usually really quick and then one parcel gets delayed, so you start worrying because it's normally really quick! I'm glad it arrived finally :)

I once got a Christmas card in September. I thought somebody was being really organised then saw the post mark on it - the previous December. They only live about 13 miles away!

  :faint:
I have heard of ponies turning up a long time later too though now I think of it. One year is crazy but I'm sure there was a parcel that arrived years and years later. must find the thread sometime. I often wonder what happens to these parcels and cards n stuff in between being sent and them arriving when the time is crazy long

I had an international-bound parcel returned to me without leaving the country. It took four weeks to be returned (I assume several someones missed the massive "USA AIRMAIL" sticker and the "RETURN TO" written in black marker above my address). Thankfully it was a gift for a friend and they didn't mind receiving their birthday present late but...geez, four weeks! (I assume the outward office of exchange is in the same place as the inward one....which is an hour's drive from where I live, too)
Idly searching for: loose, good condition G4 Blossomforth, Starbeam Twinkle, Plumsweet. TTM Celestia doll's wings Within UK or EU only, please.
Will also take in Pretty Pony Club (UK magazine) fakies.

Once I sent a parcel to eastern Europe, the parcel was not delivered so it went back to me but it took 2 months to come back from the airport (I live in Paris, both the airports are at the most 50km away).
It ended well finally because meanwhile I reported it is as lost and got the insurance. So when it finally arrived, I was able to send it back for free to the buyer.
