Pony Palooza?

I often heard and read about the Delaneys, and their great collection, and in this context people often mention "Pony Palooza". I imagine it as a pony meet just like a fair or convention nowadays, is that right? What exactly was/is that Pony Palooza? Does someone have pics? (I think someone here mentioned that she/he had pics from there) Can you tell stories? I am so curious!

Pony Palooza was a pony meet at the Delaney's home. They held the meet 2 years in a row, I think the years were 1999 and 2000.

It wasn't quite like a convention, since the meet was at the Delaney's home.

Sadly I don't have any photos from the meet. This was back in the day when I didn't own a digital camera or a cell phone.

As you say it was essentially a meet but quite a grand one I believe Unfortunately a lot of the old topics which had images just dont work any more and as it was the days before everyone had a digital camera. I think this is the only site I know thats still live

Just folks like the rest of us. I don't have any idea if Pony Palooza was the first pony meet ever, but it's the first one I remember or at least for me personally the first one I ever attended.

Thank you! I wish I would have been in the community earlier, but I am a late 80ies child (very late indeed ). Seems like I missed out on a lot! I love looking at the pics and all those nostalgic threads lately

I would loooove to see that! I was searching but never found a picture of their pony room, it seems to be legendary
