Has this happened to anyone else? (Ebay) Edit: Ebay glitch

After seeing Bluerose's post about not being able to list I took another look at my transaction; yep a glitch! The buyer did indeed buy MLP cake toppers yesterday but somehow I ended up with the payment instead of the seller. I had already refunded the buyer so no harm done. Stupid ebay



I'm so confused right now!

I check my email this morning and see I have a sale; I click on it thinking it's an Etsy sale but it's Ebay sale for a lot of MLP Mermaid cake toppers. Lots of things wrong with this: I do not have the items for sale, I haven't listed anything on Ebay in ages and even more strange it's not showing up in my ebay's sold section! Even more strange is the payment *is* in my Paypal account and it's being shown as shipped with a tracking number!

I've changed the passwords on both my ebay and Paypal accounts and contacted the "buyer" and ebay.

Has anyone heard of this happening? It's just so strange as everything looks like a regular sale except for the missing listing (and the fact I didn't list anything to begin with).

Wow, that is a rather serious glitch! Thank goodness the payment went to you, an honest person! It was a very good idea for you to change your passwords- I wonder if this had anything to do with all the hacks that happened a month or so ago that messed everything up for a while?

Whenever I think cake toppers I think of "creamy creamy frosting". Mmmmm.

Anyway, I hope it doesn't happen again it sounds worrying!

EBay did some maintenance over the weekend. I wonder if this is the reason for the problems? I wasn't having any problems until today and the maintenance was to have occurred from the 20th-22nd.

  Wow I have seen some seriously crazy things happen on eBay over the years, but that takes the cake.
