Is Mint in...bag...a thing?
« on: February 05, 2015, 10:21:36 PM »
I bought a set of Gashapon figures today on ebay and they were in bags, never been opened and it makes it hard to see who some of them are and the seller didn't list who all was there. Anywho I know there's Mint in Box, Mint in Package, Mint on Card, but is there a Mint in Bag? ^.^

a lot of them come in bags. but it depends on the kind of bag.
if it's something like a ziplock bag... then um no. but if it's a sealed bag. yeah. most of the ones i bought in japan game like that out of the machine.

Yes, there is such a thing as Mint In Bag. As far as I know all our mail order ponies are (possibly) Mint In Bag.

Yup, most definitely. Personally, I feel mint in package and mint in bag to be about the same :)

Yep! Mint-in-package or mint-in-bag. Usually this stuff will just say stuff like 'factory sealed'.

Sure, although from a collector's standpoint, I don't think a "Mint in Bag" item has much increased value if you can't actually see through the packaging-

But say a Mint in Bag Rapunzel Pony-  that would definitely command a large price.

MIP is something we use for MLP all the time for mail order ponies, as Kat says. :) And they are just in their original bags. So it is totally a description you could use...as long as the characters in the bag are perfect.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
